In this week’s meeting, Andrew Brunker, a PhD candidate in data visualisation, presented his research on an interactive visualisation for medical treatment. His literature review spaned the horizon of 3D models and heat maps.
According to Brunker, he created a workflow that went through: question, data, visualisation, and knowledge.
“The framework is web based, so that it can be used on any device, and not tied to any one operating system,” the PhD candidate explained.
His case study is in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia data.

The visualisation incorporated hierarchal clustering to group and filter the data. Interaction is also possible by zooming and brushing.
