VROOM – Three Australian teams including use have been awarded grants with the aim of better understanding youth and rare cancers in an effort to develop a cure. We will use VR to focus on specific genetic and biological information in large groups of young people with cancer in an effort to identify unique traits.Patients with similar biology should respond to similar treatment strategies. Therefore, comparing patients to each other will allow us to learn what treatments are effective. Our approach will provide 3D environments that find these patterns, relating them to specific patients.
Visual Analytics Tool for tabular data – The project develops a robust and customisable visual analysis tool for visualising tabular (multi-dimensional) data. We use multi-attributed scatter plots to provide different views when mapping different attributes to properties. It utilises scatter-plot visualisation approach to provide comprehensive and interactive views for different attribute mappings. The software includes many figures that enable the views of tabular data in many possible ways via one or more scatter plots.
Using Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Interaction Technologies for Data Analytics and Visualisation – This project looks at a new way to use supporting technologies in virtual reality, augmented reality and interaction to support the large scale visual analytics.
